You have an important potential customer visiting your office and you want to pull out all of the stops and give them the red carpet treatment. But what if your carpets have seen better days? They’re stained and there’s a damp smell that hits you as soon as you walk into reception. How will the potential customer react? Will you get the business?

Or what if your team hasn’t been achieving such great results and moral is a little low? There’s a little bit of lethargy and more coughs and colds than usual. The importance of maxisiming productivity with a clean office cannot be overstated.

As soon as you walk into an office, one of the first things that will catch your eye is the condition of the carpets. Which is why we are on a mission to help businesses make their workspace more inviting to everyone who walks through their door. Having clean carpets and a regular office cleaning routine is one of the simplest ways to achieve this.

A healthy and clean working environment is important for staff and customers alike. The smell of damp and stained carpets are never going to help attract new customers or make staff feel valued. Who wants to work with a company that doesn’t invest in their workplace and that doesn’t recognise the benefit of good hygiene and how it impacts on their workforce?
At Cleanology, we can provide commercial carpet cleaning services, however, let’s give you an insight into the different methods to help you to achieve cleaner carpets:

Hot Water Extraction

One of the most popular methods for professional carpet cleaning. Hot water extraction or steam cleaning uses hot water at high pressure to deep clean the carpets, breaking down the bacteria and dirt that have built up and then extracting the debris via a built-in vacuum.

Encapsulation

Encapsulation carpet cleaning uses a chemical solution containing acrylic polymers to remove dirt and bacteria from carpets. The polymers attract the dirt particles by loosening and releasing them from the carpet fibres and then encapsulating them so they are easy to remove simply by vacuuming the carpets afterwards. The benefit of this process is there is no need to leave the carpet to dry afterwards.

Bonnet Cleaning

Bonnet cleaning is an effective form of low-moisture cleaning that can be used on most carpets. It uses a rotary floor buffer system with a pad or brush which moves in a circular motion to loosen and remove dirt from carpets. Because it is low moisture, carpets are usually dry within one or two hours. After use the pad or brush will need to be washed in order to be re-used.

Dry Powder Cleaning

Dry powder cleaning does exactly what it says on the tin. It involves using a dry compound powder containing detergents that are spread over the carpet by a counter-rotating machine. The dirt is absorbed by the powder and changes colour. It is then vacuumed up leaving the carpet fibres clean. This is usually used for carpets that are sensitive to water because they contain water-soluble dyes, or in areas where it is unsafe to have too much moisture.

Shampoo Cleaning

Carpet shampooing involves the use of a cleaning agent applied to the carpet which attracts the dirt and is then turned into a foam as it is whipped up by the machine brushes. The foam is then washed out by the machine leaving a clean carpet.

There are so many benefits to having your carpets commercially cleaned. But mostly because it will make your work environment better for all.

Here are our top five benefits of commercial carpet cleaning:

Improved Indoor Air Quality

Carpets collect pollutants such as dirt, dust, bacteria, pollen and mould spores that can affect indoor air quality. Dust mites, for example, leave their faeces in carpets, causing allergies if not cleaned and removed. These pollutants can also exacerbate respiratory illnesses like asthma and can cause skin rashes and headaches.

Extends the Life of Your Carpet

To help to ensure your carpet outlives a typical lifespan, it’s important to develop a cleaning strategy. For a longer-lasting carpet, professional cleaning will help to restore and lift carpet piles, keeping them in good condition and will help the upkeep of the carpets’ appearance.

Professional Equipment and Products

One of the best ways to have your carpets cleaned is to use a professional cleaning company, like Cleanology, who will have invested in the best equipment and products to get the job done efficiently and to a very high standard.

Enhances the Appearance of Your Business:

It’s a win-win for not much outlay. Your offices will simply look and smell better. No stale smells. Clean, new-looking carpets. No more coffee stains, no more nasty marks. Your customers and employees will know you care about your work environment and you’ll be putting your best foot forward.

Prevents the Growth of Mould

In offices with higher humidity levels mould can grow in the carpet fibres which can lead to health risks. A commercial carpet cleaner will remove the mould and extract the moisture, helping to limit any spread and re-growth. This will lower the risk of respiratory problems.
