Training is at the heart of everything we do
Our dedicated Onboarding and Training Manager will ensurethat new starters are welcomed to the company, that we have all legaldocumentation, have screened staff for their previous experience and cleaningknowledge and identify any training needs. All staff are required to sign toconfirm acceptance of company policies during the induction process.
We have introduced a dedicated training team to ensure thatstaff receive thorough training prior to commencing work on site. This allowscleaning operatives to ask any questions they may have and ensure they feelconfident to begin work.
Prior to starting on site, the Area Operations Manager will carry out a First Day Training Record – a final check to ensure the cleaning operative has the necessary skills, information and resources to safely carryout their work. This is recorded on our tablet-based in-house app and is refreshed annually.

Our training extends beyond cleaning
Cleaning operatives will be provided with training andinformation that is specific to the contract they have been assigned to. Thistraining is delivered as part of the First Day Training Record and reinforcedthrough the Area Operations team. This relates to the following areas:
· The correct cleaning techniques andmethodologies for key tasks and the confidence to ask a Supervisor orOperations Manager if in any doubt
· The correct use of cleaning products and in linewith COSHH guidance provided
· Observing H&S guidance as provided in thesite RAMS and Risk Assessments
· The correct management of waste
· On-site security, fire exit and evacuationprotocols
· While on a customer premises, behaving inaccordance with the code of conduct outlined in our staff handbook
· Contributing positively to the customer site and staff/visitor experience
To ensure our client-facing members of staff are delivering excellent customer service, and to facilitate continuous improvement, we have developed our in-house Hospitality Hero training. The training involves videos and quizzes to ensure the cleaning staff are aware of and proficient inCleanology’s customer service standards. Staff can also be nominated by clients to receive a client recognition award.
